Poem about grief

My loss is deeper than the deepest grave

My tears more powerful than a monsoon

My heart more hollow than a cave

I just want to hide in my cocoon

My sorrow is vaster than the seven seas

My emptiness could stretch a million miles of desert

This is a pain that nothing can ease

Nothing can take away the hurt

Death causes a bigger destruction than a natural disaster

My heart is more cracked than the earth

These wounds can’t be covered by any plaster

Death is the nemesis of birth

Death takes all that the earth has given birth to

It snatches you like a thief in the night

It gives you no clue

It whisks you out of sight

Death like birth can be cruel

Both are portals to another universe

In birth and death you will forever shine like a jewel

I will keep you in my heart’s purse

Your memory is a heart beat

It keeps me alive

I just pray that one day we will meet

Until then I must try to survive

I love writing. I may be controversial but I'm not afraid to say it how it is.
